In the last blog, I mentioned my trip down memory lane sparked by Digital’s 15th anniversary. Let’s pick up our look back with the biggest change I’ve seen over the years:
Then: Once we got people to believe and converted them, we were pioneers in the business (producing samples that marketing people need in small quantities and in a short time, that is).
Now: Then others saw what we were doing, copied it, and lowered their price. The competitive environment has completely changed, but what our competitors have not been able to replicate is our commitment to customer service—and being a “one stop” total product packaging solutions provider.
So then the question becomes, “How does CL&D Digital remain relevant?” The answer is that Digital has continually evolved—by adding a number of innovative solutions to the core one of printing sample packaging. Right now, for example, we are looking for production work that involves jobs that run up to 20,000 feet.
Yet today, no other digital package printing company has more experience and boasts as strong of a customer base. Since 98 percent of Digital’s work comes from repeat business and referrals, clearly our customers agree. You know you’re a good strategic partner when busy VPs of large CPGs take the time to send thank you notes and e-mails for helping them bring their products to market faster.
